The above link is a story about how the Red Chinese have decided to re-issue revolvers and some long guns
to their LEO's.
There have been a horrendous number of knife attacks by BG's and 5 policmen responding to a murder call
were themselves murdered upon arriving on the scene.

Maybe they need more range time.
