Event on business' property, but outdoors?

I will be attending a pool party at a local gym soon. The pool is an outside pool, and you can access the pool by going around the side of the gym building. At no point do you enter the building itself, but the pool is indeed on their property.

I'm unsure if they have a 30.06 posted, as I've never been to this place before. However, even if they do, I'm sure to miss the sign as I won't be near any doors.

What is the legality of this situation? Thanks.

This is an interesting and somewhat common type of example. Essentially, you have to be given notice by the property owner either by 30.06 signage or verbally.
If you receive neither, then you are 'technically' good to go. However, this could be considered 'grey' area.

One thing you'll see written around here is "concealed is concealed". It doesn't mean that you should intentionally break any law or carry where illegal, but what it does mean is that if you carry concealed, and do it right, you don't have to worry as much about these grey areas.

Many subscribe to the theory that they'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6... in other words, personal protection and common sense rules the day, so keep it concealed and carry lawfully in order to defend yourself in a 'worst case' scenario.

I personally would carry until I received a notice that legally prevented me from carrying.

I just wanted to point out that the 30.06 code section uses the term proeprty and not premises. This includes the pool and all grounds. If it is properly posted, you cannot legally carry there, even if you avoid going in the buildings. Of course, if you never see the signs, you could a least argue that it wasn't posted properly because of the "conspicuous" requirement.

Thanks for the great response. I plan on following the "concealed is concealed" advice as always. I'm also going to go the ultra-concealed pocket pistol route to avoid any possible unintentional display.

So, question?
If it's a pool party, are you going in the water?
If not, no problem. But if you do, where are you going to store your weapon?

That's just one more thing people with Glocks don't have to worry about.

Based on descriptions and photos members here have posted over the years, it is likely that the speedo itself would be concealed.
