I understand the concept of reciprocity regarding licensed carry.

The general idea that if you license is honored in another state you can carry as long as you abide by their rules. I have a question that I have not been able to find searching online anywhere else (probably because I am not looking in the right places).

My question is this: I have a Glock 19 with a 15 round magazine. In some states this is considered a high capacity magazine. If I carry into a state that has restrictions of magazine capacity would I be in trouble with this?

Particularly I am unsure about Kansas and Oklahoma. Can anyone point me in the right direction to research this?

I searched both documents for the word 'capacity' with no relevant results.

You should own some 10 rd mags to use in states with limits.

I was thinking the same thing. Could not hurt to puchase a few and carry them instead just to be safe. I searched both as well but I believe I would have to look outside the carry guidlines to the handgun sale and ownership laws as my guess is they assume you know those guidlines if you have ever purchased a handgun in the respective states. I emailed an FFL holder in each state to see what they can legally sell and have yet to hear back from them.

Its only a couple of states that have the 10 round restriction and Like California and New York. . Illinois has a bill in progress. We don't have reciprocity with any of them



As others have said its a state by state thing. I know its not an issue in the 8 states I've carried in.
