Anyone else getting into the new CBS-TV series "Extant", starring Hallie Berry, Goran Visjnic, and Camryn Manheim (on Wednesday evenings?).
it's a Sci-Fi story, set in the near future. I won't give away the concept.. but it's beginning to get to the crux of the story.
Anyone else watching/

Don't know much about the series, other than what I just scanned on Wiki, but I am thinking a one season show unless it can start pulling a lot more than 5.9 million viewers.

My better half likes it, Doctor Who and other similar shows. I couldn't care less. I'll stick with NCIS, American Rifleman Television, Formula 1 and similar.

I've been pretty into Tyrant since it came on(FX channel). I watched three seasons of Strike Back in 2 weeks recently. Cool Show, the constant seemingly mandatory F word every 10-20 seconds by Scott got old fast though.

We also watch Tyrant, it's well done.
I think the best drama series right now is The Bridge.
The Last Ship and also Manhattan are must-see series for us as well.
All these have good plots, great acting.

Longmire is the best series on A & E and they just cancelled it.

The language and adult situations did wear a bit. But they did put together a heck of a firefight scene in Chechnya, a very exciting 3 minutes of TV.

My wife won't watch it because in the past I have expressed some appreciative comments about Halle Berry. Well, maybe more that "some."
I highly recommend "Black Orchid."

She's not ugly but there are scores of women who compete easily with her.

I'll finish this season since I started it. It won't break my heart if there's not a second season. The wife likes it. It's just sad when people with absolutely ZERO grasp of science or physics make a science-fiction show. There is only so much disbelief I can suspend. This show hit that limit in the first episode.

I know what you mean about suspending disbelief. I could never get over the dhow's premise that they sent someone up to a research station on a one-year solo mission. Nevah happen. Other smaller stuff as well.

This thread ties in with the word usage thread. The term "The Offspring" really grates on me for some reason. Then again, I'm not a syfy guy and the show is just stupid to me.

It's an extant show but without viewers it may soon be an extinct show.
