Just finished my Certification with ElGato on Saturday. The experience was very enjoyable and I learned plenty. ElGato makes a long day very worthwhile and fun.

I am looking at purchasing a Kahr 9MM for my carry gun and would like recommenations on experiences with the 4" and 3" barrels. Also on the Polymer frame versus the steel frame. I have handled both barrel lengths at the gun shop and the 4" feels better, however, have not shot either one of the guns.

Hopefully, I will be able to meet ElGato at the Texas City range in the near future and take another look and shoot his Kahr 9MM.[/b]

I own four Kahrs, (2) K-40's, PM9, P45.

It took several years to work all of the kinks out of the PM9. The P45 isn't 100% yet.

But my K series have never given me any trouble. Much of what I've read bears out my own experience.

I don't have any experience with the MK steel micros, but as long as you're talking about K series, I think you'll be very pleased.

I purchased a Kahr P9 black diamond w/night sites a month or so ago. I've run through the recommended 200 rounds. I noticed some tightness during the break in but this last time I took it out I was quite pleased. Now if I can get UBG to contact me and tell me that my IWB holster is in the works I'll be a happy man.

I traded for a new Kahr PM9. I took it to the range with my wife. We both loved it. It was a little small for my large hands. She traded me my Glock 26 back for my Kahr PM9 and she now owns the Kahr . I sold a pistol and purchased me a new Kahr CW9 which fits my hands better. I personally think it is a great pistol and a great price. The PM9 is little high, but the CW9 was a good price. I use the Clipdraw on several of my pistols and I placed one on the CW9 and it works wonders. (Be nice about the "clipdraw" part of this post)

Here is a picture of a friend of mines PM9 with a clip that used for a Kel Tec. He wears his PM9 the same as you would the Kel Tec and it is just as concealed.

I carry a Kahr CW9 almost all the time. I don't have the barrel peening issue some of the older Kahrs had and its been 100% form the time I took it out of the box. I estimate I've got about 1000 rounds through it already. Slim, light easy to carry. I use a Milt Sparks VMII or a Galco UDC and it's very comfortable. I highly recommend it. Don't have much experiance with the others, but I've always heard good things about them.

I have only owned 1 Kahr pistol (still have it) and it's an MK9 Elite 03. It's heavier than the PM9 due to all stainless construction but uses the same mags.
It has been 100% reliable and is amazingly accurate for something so small. The trigger on the Elite models is a lot nicer than the standard MK as well. The MK is probably the best tiny semi auto handgun I have ever owned.

Can't forget to post this pic again. There's 50 rounds in that hole fired from 7 yards.

I have a Kahr CW-9 and really like it. My wife did not like to carry her Glock 26, said it was too wide and bulky so I got this. It was tight the first 200 rounds or so, but since then not a problem. She/we carry it in a Desantis Scorpion IWB and you can forget you have it....

The trigger is just like a double action revolver. Same pull all the way through.

I have a Kahr K-9 (bought (1996) and an MK-9 (bought 2001) and highly recommend these two types. They are very accurate, reliable and good quality weapons.
The DAO trigger with a single strike capability has a rather long but smooth pull, ~7 lbs. Since they are all steel frames they are a bit heavy but not too heavy for pocket carry. The K-9 is about the largest size that should be considered for a pocket pistol, but may be marginal for blue jeans. The MK-9 works well with blue jeans if they are not too tight to start.
I shoot almost exclusively with the MK-9 at IDPA matches and although I won't win any matches due to a 6 round magazine which requires frequent magazine changes, I can keep up accuracy-wise with many of the folks that carry the full frame pistols. The MK-9 does require more practice to fire accurately than a full frame pistol, but this is a pistol that you are much more likely to carry routinely, especially in a pocket holster.

I have borrowed a Kahr PK-9 and fired a few rounds. There is a bit more noticable recoil but it is not objectionable.

I had a polymer-framed Kahr P9 for a while.

Horrible gun, numerous problems . . . after a couple of unsuccessful attempts to fix it under warranty, Kahr replaced it.

I traded the unfired replacement for a Glock 26 - although it isn't as compact a package, the Glock actually works.

I understand Kahr has solved "most" of the problems, but there are still enough lemons getting through in Kahr's polymer lines that I wouldn't feel comfortable depending on one.

I have a Kahr PM40. It performs GREAT, as long as you're not limp-wristing it when you shoot.

And my Kahr is in a great UBG IWB holster. A right-hand holster that I'm wearing on my weak (left) side today.

Still has that "new Kahr" smell.
