We had an appointment for our son at a local MHMR facility. The facility was posted correctly. I, believing that it is a government facility, ignore said sign. Now, after coming home, I research the Tx Dept of State Health Services and it seems the local MHMR may be a contractor. Researching the local MHMR website and it states it
is a not-for-profit community center that serves individuals with Mental Health Needs and Intellectual Development Disabilities (IDD).

A quote from the TDSHS
DSHS contracts with 39 Community Mental Health Centers and NorthSTAR to deliver mental health services in communities across Texas.
Is it or is it not a government facility?

Government property is an exception to 30.06.
Government property isn't an exception to 46.035.

46.035 specifies specific locations that are statutorily off limits; no 30.06 needed.

Except for a licensed hospital or nursing home, Amusement Park, a place of religious worship, or a government meeting. These locations are listed in 46.035 and do require notification under 30.06 in order to be off limits.

Correct, AND, 30.06 valid at meeting of government entity, but only for that meeting.
