Here is a little thing I found interesting its Insurance to Represent the CHL holder in legal matters where you were justified but was taken to court anyway.

It covers Recip States as well as Texas.

I am in no way affiliated with this nor do I receive any compensation from it and I can not endorse what they say or sell.
However I do intend to take this out for myself.

I have this insurance. Due to an incident I had with the sheriff's department, I contacted them on a Sunday afternoon last week. I did get the operator, but I was told that because it was sunday, the lawyers were unavailable.

I am reconsidering my membership.

I stand to be corrected, but unless you were arrested I don't think that an attorney would be called out otherwise.

This is the group that gives you as much counsel and advice they can before they give you a pat on the back and a "good luck" on your way in to see the grand jury...Thats about it...

Looks like they changed their website a little bit, and photoshopped a few of the pictures on there as well...

I have always appreciated their intent over the years, but it still doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy if I ever needed complete (overall) legal counsel...

Just something to keep in mind I suppose...

Oh yeah, a really "good" lawyer get to crankin' on Sunday, sometimes real early. That why they call 'em criminal denfense lawyers; they defend criminals. ;-)
