Anyone do this? I have seen a lot of holsters for it (thanks DocV) none really doing exactly what I want per say.

How do you keep the light from being activated and draining the battery?1s1k52 wrote:anygunanywhere wrote:Something inside waist band I think.C-dub wrote:Do what?

Yeah it's a tight squeeze as well since most the holsters have a lot of extra material to them aside from the light.AndyC wrote:I guess not, but then again I don't have enough space down the front of my trousers for a light.1s1k52 wrote:I am guessing you guys don't know a lot about weapon mount lights lol
I know a fair amount about lights, but very little about holsters designed to hold a gun with a mounted light. The few I've seen seem to be designed for specific lights that I don't have.1s1k52 wrote:C-dub wrote:How do you keep the light from being activated and draining the battery?1s1k52 wrote:anygunanywhere wrote:Something inside waist band I think.C-dub wrote:Do what?

The holster covers the switch just like it does the trigger. When drawn it is activated via the off hand thumb. It takes practice in itself and most people that carry this way carry in a manner that is not appendix.
They make activation "pressure" switches via the natural grip of the gun BUT it doesn't allow you turn the light on and off without sacrificing the grip
Looks like they are all made for the 9mm and .40 Glocks. Only custom stuff for Glock 21 or 30. I'm not that interested and will just carry my little 300 lumen flashlight with me at night.1s1k52 wrote:C-dub wrote:How do you keep the light from being activated and draining the battery?1s1k52 wrote:anygunanywhere wrote:Something inside waist band I think.C-dub wrote:Do what?

Google Glock TRL-1 and then Glock TRL-1 pressure switch. Good stuff.
