I picked these up over the last month. Learning how to shoot skeet doing pretty good to for only 3 times on the range, I started out the first time in single digits and the second time to but my 3rd time out I shot 3 rounds and scored in double digits 3 times in a row 11 , 10 and 12. Also the first 2 rounds were with a 20 ga the 3rd with a new 12 ga. However I have not hit the teens yet

The top one or the lighter colored stock is a TriStar Hunter Ex 20 ga with 28" Barrels, The bottom is a CZ Redhead Deluxe 12 Ga with 28" Barrels. I have 2 sets of chokes for it Briley and CZ -Just thought I would share my new shotguns

Yes it is, I hunted Pheasant when I was a kid did real good (1973) I have not shot a shotgun since 1975 until 4 weeks ago and never shot skeet in my life. So my first round was really bad but with the 12 ga now I did much better, I've been reading alot about the sport and having a blast learning but sore shoulders really take the toll on my old body.

I was taken by impact a hero it's a veterans group working with post-9/11 veterans. They brought us to West Houston and had a huge skeet shooting competition it was a great time it was the first time I've ever shot clay like that and now I am hooked.i'm frothing at the mouth to get an over under like yours but I will have to sell at least one or two of my guns that I have now to get that done.there are a few over unders at Academy and I think they're made by CZ and they start about $450

My wife is blasting away with a Browning 725 adjustable comb 32" barrel and she loves it. Stay away from the Yildiz Turkish stuff from Academy. My friend bought one and has to carry a dowel to extract his shells. Wife loves skeet and sporting clays.

Some other brands are manufactured in Turkey as well

nice guns! I had the CZ Ringneck (SXS) myself shortly after they hit the market. Really nice, well made guns. After three years of trying, I just couldn't hit the doves (or clays) with it and reluctantly traded it a few years ago. I probably would have done better with the Redhead o/u myself.

I concur with Rotor dont buy a Yildiz I have herd many bad things about them. However both of mine are made in Turkey with no problems at all.
The Tristar has extractors and the CZ has ejectors. I did some work on the ejectors after I found a youtube video of a rough surface under the ejectors. A little sandpaper 600 grit and I polished them up. I didn't have a problem with them but the first time I shot it my puller commented how smooth they were, he said he's seen the B guns that didn't work as good as mine.

BTW I served also 1974 -1978 USMC

Tri-star and Yildiz are both reputable in my opinion. I bought the Tri-star Viper in the camo turkey gun set-up with the pistol grip, and it has been a favorite of mine for years now. I also have a Yildiz, which has had been as reliable as an over&under can be, with no problems. My only complaint is that the Yildiz is so light, it makes for an amazing skeet/pheasant gun, but it kicks like a mule. Being that I am cross-eye dominate, It favors me to use a Over/Under or a Semi-automatic, and the pistol grip on the tri-star really helps me support that gun with me weak arm.

All-in-all, both great guns. I have no reason to specifically dislike guns made in turkey, they have been quite good in my book.

I would like to play with that Tri-star Redhead, but I'm mainly for semi-automatics now. It's nice to have that light yildiz for skeet or hunting that involves walking great distances.

The Redhead is a CZ Deluxe, THe Tristar is the Hunter Ex model. I did a month of research on Turkey made guns and talked to both manufactures, believe it or not the gun are made in 3 factories in turkey all 3 are located within a few blocks of each other, Tristar factories are right across the strret from each other.
I could not afford one of the B guns $2000 + for those so I got 2 for less and I am very happy with both. The CZ is heavier than the other and the kick is about the same on both.
