My apartment community's handbook has a bit strange wording/sentence:

"Discharge of Firearms
City ordinances prohibit the discharge of firearms within city limits. This includes BB or pellet guns. They are absolutely not permitted on our property"


Does the last sentence forbids me of keeping/owning a real gun/rifle in the rented apartment or it applies only to BB and pellet guns?

Ps. my signed lease contract has the following sentence that forbids: "possessing a weapon prohibited by state law; discharging a firearm in the apartment community; displaying or possessing a gun, knife, or other weapon in the common area in a way that may alarm others;"

When you signed the lease you agreed to not possess a weapon prohibited by state law. That means you can have hundreds of weapons!

The top of the handbook says:

Any failure to comply with the rules and regulations, policies, or guidelines
contained in the Resident Handbook will be considered an Event of Default under the
Apartment Lease.
I, acknowledge receipt of the Resident Handbook and understand I must comply with the
rules, regulations, policies and guidelines contained within.

You can have a fully automatic suppressed SBR and a .50 Caliber Browning M2, as long as you have the tax stamps from BATFE.

But you can't have a club, knife above a certain size, an ASP, nuclear weapons, ricin, or other biological or chemical WMD.

Brown paper bag.

A brown paper bag for those weapons is about as legal as a non-licensee walking down the street with a handgun in a brown paper bag. Both will get a person arrested.

It is spelled out in PC46.02. It is iffy since it is an apartment and you don't control the parking lot. A private residence, no problem...

Well logically (I know... dangerous territory when you're talking about the legal system), if an item is legal to possess in your home, you must be able to transport it there.

Sec. 46.02. UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPONS. (a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries on or about his or her person a handgun, illegal knife, or club if the person is not:
(1) on the person's own premises or premises under the person's control; or
(2) inside of or directly en route to a motor vehicle or watercraft that is owned by the person or under the person's control.

I would presume that it covers going FROM the vehicle back to the residence, though it doesn't say. If it doesn't cover returning to your residence, what are you supposed to do when the vehicle gets full?
