DPS' rapid processing has kind of caught me flat-footed, as my plastic is on the way and I haven't had the chance to order the Tucker gear I've been drooling over.

I know that the typical gear available from big box retailers is less than perfect in most cases so I'm looking for a little help here. Is anyone aware of good quality leather (belts and holsters) available locally in the DFW metro area?

White Hat Holsters, when I have used them, had a turn around of 1-2 weeks, and they are in Arlington, so could be quicker for you.

GT Distributors is the best in the area that I know of.

Huge selection, reasonable prices, knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Bring plenty of money and don't tell your wife who pointed you there.

Thanks for the assist on this. I'm not the world's biggest kydex fan, though. It has its uses but I'm kind of old school.

There are a couple gun shows this weekend, Irving and Mesquite. I think I'm just gonna hit one of them, wife is looking for gear too. Anyone have any preferences between the Big Town shows or Tier 1?

Thanks for all the help, folks. Ended up with a Galco V-Hawk from GunGeartoGo. Should have just gone there to begin with, it's quickly turned into my favorite shop in DFW

There's Tucker and there's anything else but you already know about Tucker. You'll love it when you get it.

That's what I'm hearing from a lot of folks.

I'm shopping for a new carry .45 and I'm not sure if I'll stay with a full size. Once I make that call, Tucker will be my next stop.
