It doesn't look like a "sawed off shotgun" to me... looks like a legal shotgun with pistol grip, made by Mossberg.



Also, does it function? It doesn't look like it has action bars from the photo, so how do you work the action?

Close to Onion level "reporting." I wouldn't be surprised if the entire rig wasn't made up by the NY idiot calling it a sawed off shotgun. These anti gun nuts are getting desperate.

That's actually fairly old. I think I first saw that sometime around 2007/8(?), as part of a larger montage about "disguised guns."

Yep... From this kind of deceit, all roads lead to bad places.

I can not even imagine what goes through the mind of an LEO when facing a situation that requires a decision to use deadly force. In the atmosphere we have as a result of recent events my fear is there will be a time when an officer, already having the immense weight of that choice will hesitate just that split second in a confrontation, pondering the repercussions of their actions. I know it's inevitably going to happen resulting in the officer being on the losing end and we probably will never know the reality. To quote Andy, I don't envy officers these days.........

I just wanted to point out that people have been doing stuff like this for quite some time, and this is nothing new to the world of law enforcement. The point that officers are forced to make split-second decisions about whether that's a watergun or a shotgun, though, is well made, as is the point about politics making officers hesitate.

Me either. The Rule of Law no longer protects LEO's or anyone else these days.

Andy, as always, your thread is most topical. Today the local CBS affiliate(KTVT, channel 11) showed that exact same water gun, and the pistol grip shotgun that slid inside it. Unfortunately I can't find it on their website to post the link.

And the news reader pretty much followed what you said, many hours after you started this thread. Thanks!
