Hopefully she can jettison the "partners" if they don't start contributing. It's tough to carry excess baggage, especially at the stage she is in.

If she has a good story to tell and a product of interest, she may be able to raise some money through one of the crowfunding sites.

Andy, is there any way that hits on her domain/website will help? What I mean to ask is, will advertisers or someone look at the number of hits her site gets and offer her some kind of deal or benefit?

There are a number of websites like http://www.freekibblekat.com/ that, when you click through, give something to someone - someone profits from the clicks.

Could this apply to her site that you are sponsoring, or do I have the technology backwards?

A friend of mine is a practicing GP.

He moved from Texas (with his wife and 2 children) to New Zealand, north island.

My wife and I visited them. We stayed at their home.

I attended a party that consisted primarily of doctors. (my wife stayed away as she wasn't feeling well)

A lot of the doctors were from South Africa.

They moved for economic as well as personal danger.

Perhaps, your friend may (possibly) benefit by moving from such an impoverished environment...

I know it's very difficult to leave where you're from, but everyone at the party agreed they benefited by the move.

She sounds like the entrepreneurial type - she can thrive where the environment isn't so hostile.

I use Ooma for my business. It works well and is cheap enough. I haven't upgraded to the business product and am still using the residential product. It works for our needs.

Also, there is a book out called The Psychology of Sales Call Reluctance by George Dudley. I read it several years after I started my sales career. Wish I would have read it sooner as that book helped me get over why I was so reluctant to pick up the phone and call people.

Hope you don't mind the unsolicited advice/info. I just want to share what I can so others may skip some of the cost and pain in which I've endured.
