Glock slide not flush

Okay so I am having a bit of a problem. I noticed this afternoon at about lunch time that the slide on my Glock 23, which by the way is my edc, is not sitting flush with the frame. It sticks out about a 1/16 of an inch past the frame. I read online that this is normal with some glocks but I know for sure that my glock was not like this. I tried taking it apart but it still ends up like that. If this is normal, what would cause my glock that was not like this before to do this?

Are you talking about the back or sides? Where is it sticking out exactly? Does it fire and cycle properly like this?

The back part is not flush. I have read its normal on some glocks but I don't see how it goes from flush to offset. I have not shot it but I will tomorrow.

Just checked mine and they might also be sticking out a hair. However, I shoot mine often and am not worried about it. What I'm curious about is that you say you haven't shot yours and it is your EDC.

Just checked 5 glocks (older 23 gen3, 19 gen3, 23 gen4, 26 gen4, and 42) - all are flush.

I have shot about 1600 rounds through it. What I meant is I havent shot it since I noticed it was no longer flush.
I have a 21SF and its flush. I hope it stays that way.

Before you shoot it, make sure it's fully locked up in battery. Also, try a different round in the chamber. If the brass is a few thousandths too long it can keep the action slightly open.

I don't own a Glock, but there a few discussions on another forum that discuss this issue.
Of the few posts I have read, most agree that it's not a problem.

Took my Glock 23 to the range yesterday and put 200 rounds through it. No problems at all. Did much better than my FN Five Seven.

That's good news about the Glock. Not so much for the Five-7.
