Just reading over this website and I am wondering if the following is enforceable?
http://www.uthealth.org/patient-visitor ... ty-police/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It specifically states Concealed Carry is prohibited without giving 30.06.
Thoughts?

Says that non-licensed carry is prohibited by state law.
Says that CHL carry is just prohibited, but doesn't reference any means to prohibit it. That speaks to me.

IANAL, but my guess is that they are considered a university campus due to their affiliation with the UT System. They're a teaching hospital I suspect, which would prohibit carry under 46.03 (1).
I'm also guessing that the key word here is "premises".

What's the legal definition of " premises "?

Has anybody looked for 30.06 signage?

Per 46.035
(3) “Premises” means a building or a portion of a building. The term does not include any public or private driveway, street, sidewalk or walkway, parking lot, parking garage, or other parking area.

No 30.06 I seen at my last visit. I am debating employment there and realize I can't carry while in a building, but was concerned about to and from work.

Sounds like they didn't read far enough down the statute.
I've been wondering about something. If campus carry passes, how does that affect employees? Is the University then also prohibited from prohibiting a CHLer from carrying at work?

I'm just guessing here, but I think it would probably be like my situation with working for a city government... it's legal, but against employee policy. No ride, but can be fired. Again, just guessing.

I agree that it is a prohibited area by the "teaching hospital" restriction, thus no 30.06 is needed. In their "about us" area they mention training students.

There you go. I wouldn't carry inside the buildings a visitor or patient. I would leave it in the car.
Now as an employee, does the employee parking lot law help prevent someone from being fired for keeping a gun in their car specifically?
The caveat here, if a company decides to fire someone, they will find a reason whether it's the real one or not.
