I will be working in Washington state for next 6 mo. (back and forth each week). Is it possible to get a non-res pistol permit there? I looked on USA Carry and seemed a little contradictory. Apparently, WA does not honor Texas, but does Utah. Will they take a UT non-res. I don't have one, but I could get one.

Any former WA folks out there?

I do not know if Washington issues a non-resident permit. I do know that they honor the Utah CFP.

WA does recognize non-resident permits issued by States whose permit they honor.

The same web site says that WA will issue a non resident permit if you qualify, but you need to apply in person.

If you are not a Washington State resident, you may apply at any local law enforcement agency in Washington

Looks pretty easy to apply... I don't see that you need to take any classes, just fill out the form, pay the fee and pass a background check.

Great! When I get settled in I'm going to go to King County Sheriff and apply. I could probably get a Utah eaiser, but I'm kind of "collecting" them . TX, AZ, CT, NH... used to have ME, FL, PA. Looking for MA, IL, NV...if I can.
