I'm sure every 12 year old boy would love to have one of these...

My first thought was "Hey! Lookee there! A

Looks relatively easy to make. I think I might put my lathe to work.

Would be fun to launch the soda cans in the air, while your buddies shoot them with shot guns!

Hate to be negative but. We all know someone will find a way to abuse it. Molotov cocktail launcher for example. Watch Coke change the diameter of their cans now.

This is probably the only thing out there that, if I had it, would convince my wife to "allow" me to buy Bud Lite.

I'd like to see someone try to make one of those out of a metal can instead of a glass bottle...
For that matter, try using a glass bottle, filled with flammable liquid, and a high-pressure launcher like this on the back end of it.
I doubt it would work as intended, but it'd make for good Youtube. Oh, and have the burn unit at the local hospital notified of your arrival -before- you pull the trigger on that blank.

Actually, it would be trivially easy to do. Take an empty soda can and cut the top out of it. Slide it into the tube and stuff a wad of paper towel in for a cushion. Put your glass bottle inside and...
If you wanted to take it a step farther, make a few straight cuts down the side of the can to form air flaps to separate the can from the bottle on launch. Think, "shotgun wad".

It is an AR-15 upper so you need the "gun" portion to make it work. Without a lower and some blanks you just have a tube.

And here I had high hopes for a Youtube blooper reel...
