Does company policy have to state 30.06 verbatum or just state no weapons?

Also, If I leave the property in a commercial vehicle, do I still have to follow "policy" even though it is my home for 5 days at a time? I already know it is legal to carry concealed in a commercial vehicle.

If it is not 30.06 you can be fired but not prosecuted. And yes, they can fire you for having your weapon in a take-home vehicle.

A company in Texas can fire you for any reason not prohibited by specific anti-discrimination laws.

What gets me is that I work for a company that prohibits weapons of any sort on their property all together. Which means I can't even keep it in my truck. Thus, I have to go home between work and going back out just to retrieve my handgun.

Unless verbally informed. Then it does not have to be verbatum.

Glad my boss lets me carry in my company truck.
