NAS Fort Worth has announced that the Viet Nam veteran's "Welcome Home" event scheduled for tomorrow morning, Saturday, May 9, 2015, has been cancelled due to increased security amid concerns for a terrorist strike in the U.S. Northern Command raised the Force Protection Status from normal conditions to a increased level earlier today. That level denies persons without a valid DoD ID card access to military installations. As a result, NAS could not let non-retired vets, or civilians such as family, onto the base.
NAS Fort Worth says the event will be rescheduled.

The terrorists win another victory when we cower behind a "security threat" and cancel events. They LOVE that.

Hmmm, I wonder who is responsible for raising the threat level.

Wonder if there's anything there?

It was done at the direction of Northern Command, the folks who control all CONUS facilities. Whether the JCS, or DoD directed it is unknown. We'll probably learn more as the week progresses.

It is pretty sad when our own military with the firepower at their disposal cowers in the face of "ISIS" threats. Pathetic.
