This is good news, I'm sure someone will come along and rain on the parade before long...relish it while it last.
It will hopefully then go calendars right....Controlled by whom???

I think I just rained on my own parade...
Somebody set me straight..

The Senate does not have a calendars committee.

So HB910 will have a public hearing on Monday, if it goes without amendment...it could see the Senate floor next week.
If amended...it stands the risk of timing running out! What's the play here? Has a deal been struck to let HB910 move forward
without amendment...and to let SB11 do the same. Both side can take credit, and more importantly it sounds as if some sort
of a deal in the tax cuts has been reached. I don't think we would have seen this movement if it had not.

You mean Senate floor next week, right? Already passed the House. I don't know if SB 11 is done, or can still go through the house.

If a "deal" has been made...its not to late for SB11, it will go to Calendars now....We know who controls that.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. Should have said "can still make it through the House"
After the last 24 hours I have a feeling that they made a deal and we will end up w/ HB 910 and SB 11 passing. That way both sides can claim victory.

Something happened for sure, I'm very pleased with yesterdays movement. After all we had heard about the "tax cut" issue holding things up and seeing
Gov. Abbott on the floor yesterday, one would be lead to think a "deal" has been struck. It just makes sense, HB308 was dead...so the senate moved SB11 out.
HB308 still has good life and the amendments...so the Senate will take it up.....life is good at this very moment!

Hold on. I'm a bit turned around. HB 910 is the one with campus carry attached?

Campus carry isn't attached to anything, that was a phony headline.
