Hill Country Weather

Hope all the Hill Country members are faring OK. I got word from my son-in-law, of the Comal County Fire/EMS Canyon Lake District that there have been some roof top rescues very near their home on CR32 and that the Fischer Store Road (181) Bridge on the Blanco was destroyed. This is also near their home. They are on the high side of CR32 so they are OK, He said there were a couple of fatalities, but didn't have details. Prayers for any and all affected.

Cibolo Creek is pretty high, but I've seen it higher. It's going to get really interesting around here if we get more rain tomorrow like they say we will.

Those are some awesome pictures Puma Guy. Unfortunately some people don't have respect for or know just what Mother Nature can do in short order. On another note I have 2 of my stock tanks that have been basically dry for the last 8 years that are now FULL. With more rain in the forecast I expect them to run around the spill way.

My wife just saw a post on her Facebook about a family of four swept away from a house they were staying at in Wimberley for the weekend. The husband/father was found 12 miles downstream and is in ICU. No word on the wife and two small children.
Prayers continuing.

There is very little coverage of the devastation in the Wimberley, Hays and Comal County areas. I don't understand why. There's widespread devastation there. Over 300 houses are said to have been swept away. The family of four SDT mentioned was in a house with several other families when it was hit by a wall of water. The house struck something as it floated away, broke apart and the groups were separated. The mother and two children mentioned are unlikely to have survived. Continued prayers for these souls and the other hit by this tragedy.
