Have you used it?
Was it efficient or a nightmare?
Thanks!

Is this just a slow day or is no one on Obama care or even fearful of speaking up?

great stuff, can be very affordable if you get a big taxpayer paid supplement, but you likely cannot find a doc that takes it and if you do he and/or the hospital want the high deductible from you up front
that assumes you successfully navigated their web site to get set up (has this gone smoothly for anyone yet?)

Everyone I know that looked at it as an option couldn't afford it. Almost all of them found it to be more expensive than private (if that is the correct word) coverage.

We're watching the senate proceedings, and waiting for Campus Carry to come up.
But back on point...I've not been forced into this travesty of a situation yet, so I'll not comment further on this thread. I hope you're able to get some constructive responses today!

must be a lot of 21yr old chl college students on the forum
anyway, back to ACA stuff, my 27 yr old son is going bare this year because it is too expensive for him
I have a lawyer friend who who has his wife and child on it. They had a new baby 7 months ago and he is still having trouble getting her covered, the ACA is still running him through hoops to see if she is eligible for medicaid. He says he will soon abandon this effort and go for a $2,000/month compliant private plan.

SA_Steve,
Are you enrolled and did you get a big taxpayer paid supplement?
Plus, if enrolled, have you used it, i.e., gone to either/or a doctor/hospital and if so, did it go smoothly or ...?
Thanks!

No, I'm old and on medicare.
My girlfriend who is 61 and self employed had a good price on it last year. She paid $0.08 / month. You read that right.
Unfortunately couldn't find any cardio that would take it so she upgraded this year and with supplement she pays close to $400/month. Has a pacemaker that needs a 2x a year check. $6,000 deductible still. That is what is killing people and will be the next thing Congress takes care of. If they don't run out of money, or can print more.

What I have notice in discussions about it, the big supporters of it are not on it. They are straight ahead Dems.

Yes. I'm on it. Except that now, I pay $706.00/month to cover my wife and myself, instead of the $486/mo I paid last year (also under Obamacare) for the exact same policy, and instead of the $280/month we paid before Obamacare.
That is why I cannot EVER agree that 90% of all democrats are anything other than selfish pudknockers, and the other 10% are so disrespectful that they think they have a god-given right to direct MY life. And ALL of them are costing me a lot of money. I curse their fecklessness.
But other than that, I have no particular opinion in the matter.

Looking at big increases in monthly cost in 2016.
Wonder what the Supremes are going to do ? If they kill the subsidy I expect the Repubs will quickly put it back in so as to not screw up the current system and look like evil people.

We were on it for about 4 months last year. Our monthly rate started at 606.00 then after 4 months went to over 1200.00 a month so we dropped it. Not sure what we are going to go with but we are self pay for now and so far a lot cheaper
