My first wife died of brain cancer - Biden has my deepest sympathy for his loss.

As others have said, no parent should have to bury their child. May the Lord comfort the Biden family during their terrible time of grief.

Horrible death and must be terrible for the family. Our prayers are them. Asking the Holy Spirit to comfort them because he is the Great Comforter.

I buried my 12 year old son in 1981. The pain does not go away, you just get used to it.

Mr. Biden has definitely faced tragedy in his life. His first wife and one of his children died in an auto accident, leaving him with two young children to raise. I believe the son that just died was one of those two survivors.

I lost my first wife to cancer leaving me with three young children to raise. I watched my grandparents bury three of their four children - including my mother - all way too young.
