Legally wouldn't it be difficult to post a drive in? What signage would prevent CC and MPA?

Be easy. At entrance to property posts a gun buster sign ("No firearms allowed") along with a standard 30.06 sign. Both licensed and unlicensed carry then prohibited.

How would a gunbuster sign do anything for MPA?
I thought that 30.06 could not apply to parking lots, which a drive-in pretty much is?

Nope, because then you have a "defense to prosecution" on the 30.05 sign if you have CHL. Note I said if you HAVE one, not carrying under it.... It's in the 30.05 statute.

And as a practical matter if you leave it in the car, it's gonna be hard to find unless they have some of those "gun sniffing dogs" that every ISD supposedly has.

If I drive into a "Gun Busters" posted drive-in movie then my motor vehicle ceases to be my property and I cease to occupy my motor vehicle? Such a posting would seem to deprive me of the protections of TPC 9.31 and 9.32.

There is no provision for restrictive signage in the MPA for exactly the same reason there is no restriction from any other property under my control. Perhaps I missed it?

If the simple "Gun Busters" sign restricts MPA, then could not such a simple sign restrict an apartment dweller from having a gun? If "Gun Busters" signs constitute lawful means of restricting carry, then I think the Legislature needs to revisit the issue.

We go there often and as of last week it was not. A couple of notes.

#1> The land is owned by TRWD (ie the city) so even if they did post it would be invalid.

A major component of the project is a public-private partnership with the Tarrant Regional Water District, which owns the land.

#2>Their Gun Sign also is Blue, so no worries in the bar area when you visit the restrooms.

Their license to sell alcohol was CHANGED to a "BL" (off premise sales) type license, meaning although they say no outside food or drink, (IMHO) it is not statutorily against the law. We frequently bring in our own food and beverage, not because we are cheap, but due to the fact their food is horrible.

The other thing that is mind blowing to me is they charge by the person, not by the car. When we go with other couples we used to meet at my house and then pile in one car. Now we just meet them at the drive in, and park 3-5 cars across one row and hang out in the one in middle so we don't have neighbors.

I have listened to up to 2 movies through my truck's radio and have never had a battery go dead or weak. They do have portable radios at the concession area if this is a concern for you.
