Replacing carry ammo

I'm sure everyone carries different ammo in their EDC than they use at the range for practice (too expensive to shoot hollow points at paper). That being said, how often do you replace your carry ammo, if at all?

Each time I go to the range I shoot the mag I have carried for whatever length of time between trips. It works every time which then boosts my confidence that it will be reliable in a real life situation. Just my method of feeling good about what I am carrying.

I go to the range once to twice a week. I couldn't afford to go through what I carry every time I went to shoot. I replace once a year myself, and shoot what I have been carrying then.

For carry ammo I usually empty the mag in the pistol at the range about once a month. With my S&W Shield that means I shoot about 100 rounds of Speer 124 grain +P Gold Dots per year. I shoot at least every two weeks with practice ammo, once per week if I can.

I have duplicates of all my carry guns. I leave the one I carry loaded with my carry ammo, and leave the one I'm not carrying unloaded except when practicing. Every 6 months or so I shoot up the ammo in the carry gun and accompanying spare magazine, give the practice gun a good cleaning, replace any worn parts (springs, etc), load it up with carry ammo, and then make the practice gun the new carry gun, and vice versa.

About 25 rounds.
Unless like my G43 fell from the top of my safe into the dog's water bowl and I did not notice it for at least three days. Broke the Glock down and cleaned it, went to the range, and shot the ammo that was in the water. Worked like a charm.
I brought it back home, cleaned it, and reloaded it.

Glad the dog didn't get lead poisoning.
