Brazil has a problem with lynching

Strict gun laws, but not a total ban. Apparently citizens feel justice system is eneffective.

Guns cannot be carried outside of residence, must be registered. Expensive with renewal fees every three years. Most guns are illegal.

So is lynching the result of restrictive gun laws?

It's a human thing. When the good and honest people have had enough of corrupt and ineffective government that coddles criminals, they begin to take the law into their own hands. It's unfortunate, because it can lead to reprisals and escalate the kiling, but people can only take so much before the give up on the government.
