I just talked to Jbird about the shoot on the 26th.
I am making plans to come the 150 miles to visit w/ as many as I can.
I am much more interested in meeting the ones of you that I have not met, than I am in shooting an IDPA match.

&BTW I have only shot one real IDPA match. Those are on Sunday here & I am busy.

I will definately bring ammo & a boom pipe (or 2 or ???) for spontanious & sporaddic fun & fellowship that includes noise.

Lookin for a dry Saturday.
LT

Looking forward ...

LT, You need a mature experienced and serious person to get you through the IDPA match...

Absent that person, you're with Donna and I.

Tell me you really meant the 23rd! And that means I'll have to stay CDP. Early forecast is a high of 95 and a 20% chance of rain...which is about as low as you'll get in Houston in the summer.

We need to get plans made for lunch afterward. Could be a big crowd.

Jerry, why don't you haul Flint down here with you? You would have a good riding partner for the trip and the more the better when you get here!

I PROMISE I'll make one of the shoots as soon as I can. I am really looking forward to meeting some of the fine folks that frequent this forum... and a chance to revisit the few I have already met.

Unfortunately, this is inventory time at work (through the end of the month)....and it will be all I can do to survive that.

I will certainly be thinking of you guys (and gals), and I expect a full report to be posted here.

I hope everyone will have a great time and a safe trip to and from the event.

Flint.

You know, as an interesting irony, check what else is happening in Houston on June 23: http://www.protesteasyguns.com/protests/Houston.html

Any better way to stage a positively-focused, counter-protest than shooting IDPA?

Looks like we'll have a big crew from the forum on Saturday. I'm looking forward to it.

Skiprr, I think that protest will be in Dallas.

Seriously, I just thought you knew something about the 26th that I didn't, and the 26th was the correct date...which would leave me to look for a write-up and pictures on the Forum since I couldn't be there.

Their "group's" Website shows one in Dallas and one in Houston, both at 11:00 a.m. June 23. The one in Houston is going to be at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Main Street.

Who knows? Maybye it'll rain cats and dogs near-town on Saturday, and not a drop on Pearland. ;-)

Hey L.T.:

Looking pretty good actually:

For Pearland/League City area:

"Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph. "

See you there!
