....on Monday, officials received notice that a large alligator carcass was dropped off at the same marina Woodard had visited before his death. The alligator was apparently shot and killed by a man who only identified himself as “Bear,” and had left before wildlife officials arrived to retrieve the carcass. Remains belonging to Woodard were located inside the reptile.

“He had to go,” Bear told the Beaumont Enterprise regarding the alligator. “That’s what happens when you kill someone.”
My guess is that the dead man's last words were "Hey, hold my beer and watch this, y'all".

Having lived in SE La for 30 years I've had my share of encounters with gators. They are much more dangerous than people realize.

:iagree: I have a MUCH greater fear of alligators than I do of snakes. And I've had plenty of encounters with rattlesnakes and water moccasins.

The only good thing about gators compared to big, angry snakes is that they are bigger and much easier to spot for eradication.

That and they make nicer boots.
