Seattle sees fallout from $15 minimum wage, as other cities follow suit

So, the $15/hr min wage was supposed to lift people out of poverty and get them off welfare. Well it seems those workers are now asking for less hours so they can continue to get their government check.

Progressive thought at it's finest. It's a shame people don't understand many on welfare or minimum wage range don't want to improve their situation.
Idiots enabling lazy idiots.

The $15 minimum wage isn't about raising the standard of living. In 6 of the 7 or 8 cities on the left coast where this was passed, the unions supported the law. And they swept in at the last minute and had an exemption added to the law for union members...after all, union members have expert negotiators and don't need protection by a minimum wage law.
The real reason for these laws is that unions who were getting $11.00 for laborers will now be able to undercut the competition at $14 or $14.50.
No law is ever really about helping anyone except for the politicians who get some kind of benefit from helping the people who can help them get elected.
