J frame pocket holster

Looking for ideas. I've been using a Blackhawk. It works fine but I thought it would be nice to have something a little nicer. I found a coupon and ordered a Remora. It is huge, too large to fit into my 5.11 pants pocket. The other problem is it reeks. Apparently they are smokers and the materials are continuously exposed. So, any suggestions for a reasonably priced (maybe < $50) smoke free pocket holster?

I recently bought a couple of DeSantis Nemesis pocket holsters - one for my Colt Detective Special and one for my Beretta PX-4 SC.
They are working out fine for me. I pocket carry mostly with cargo shorts, but also wearing Docker-type pants.
The holsters are available directly from DeSantis for around $26.
If you like, I can bring them to breakfast to show you.

If you want to bring one along I'll definitely check it out. It sounds like just the thing though.

I have a leather Galco that works well. I use the Nemesis for Kel Tec p 11 that works well also.

I recently bought (on another member's recommendation) kydex pocket holsters for all of my pocket guns from Alabama Holster. They are very well made, and I am very satisfied with them. I got one for my j-frame .357 snubbie, one for my PM9, and one for my XDS45.

They have, for lack of a better descriptor, a "thumb shelf" on the top inside aspect of the holster body opening, which allows you to use your thumb to push down against the holster while withdrawing the gun, thereby insuring that it stays in your pocket. I was prepared to feel like that little shelf would dig into my leg, but you don't even know it's there.
I'll try to upload some pics showing the J-frame in the holster.
OK, here you go (yes, the gun was unloaded)......
I also own a couple of older Desantis Nemesis holsters, but I prefer these kydex ones.

Thank you all. I'm definitely getting good ideas to explore. I appreciate the replies.

I also have a TT Gunleather pocket holster for my Colt Detective Special.
It cost about $70 and had a 7 week delivery time.
The holster is nice, but tends to slip out of the pocket when you draw the gun.
I have thought about attaching something to the rough size of the leather to make it more "sticky", but I haven't done anything yet.
Mostly because I have been using the Nemesis holsters.

I have a couple of them: one for a S&W 638 and another for a Sig 230 SI. They do what they're supposed to do.

i've been quite happy with the desantis nemesis holsters, while I don't have a J-Frame they are great for my pm9.
I thought about getting a kydex one but thought it might not be as comfortable.

I initially avoided kydex for the same reason. But I've found that a softer holster allows the gun to shift around in the pocket too much, and over time, the Desantis Nemesis holsters I've had have eventually lost their exterior "stickiness", making them less than optimal.
The Alabama Holsters kydex products I've bought (3 of them, for 3 different guns) have kept the guns very stable in the pocket, they resist getting pulled out with the gun, and they turn out to be shaped so as to be very comfortable.

I know it's a bit more expensive, but I purchased the Kramer Pocket Holster a couple of years ago. It works great in my J Frame. Stays in the pocket when I draw, it looks like a wallet from the outside, yet little do people know that I'm carrying my snubby. Here's the link:

It's $99 and American Made and fits like a glove.

Kramer makes excellent holsters. The reason I didn't buy their pocket holster is because they didn't offer it for my particular gun.

That Kramer is nice but if I were going leather it would be Tucker. Nothing beats his stuff.
