I took my 6 year old grandson to see the movie Minions today. Went to the 1:50 pm showing at the Rave at Northeast Mall in Hurst(N.E. Ft.Worth) and got some good prices on tickets($11.23 for the both of us). He's been wanting to see it, and Mrs.joe817 was adamant that I take him. With pleasure I did, as we don't do a lot of Grandad/Grandson stuff.

At the ticket counter(inside) I looked for a no gun sign of any kind. There was none. Once inside I looked really hard to spot a sign, and didn't find one. Went to see the movie. He enjoyed it immensely. Me? Well, it's for that age group. It kept me somewhat entertained.

As we were exiting the theater, I looked again outside, and spotted a small sign that read: "No weapons allowed". That's it. No gun buster sign, no 30.06 sign. Nothing.

It was refreshing to note that. I thought ALL Cinemark theaters were posted with correct 30.06 signs, but not this one. And yes, I was armed(as usual).

The Cinemark theater in Southpark Meadows, Austin, Texas, is posted the same. No 30.06.

My have not seen a Cinemark posted yet but I have only gone to 2 of them in the last 12 years.

the local Cinemark for a years had Gunbuster signs at each corner of the ticket booth, a few months ago noticed that they were gone, nothing else was posted.... then last time (also the Minions movie) noticed they had put up "No Weapons of Any Kind" signs in the window... still not a 30.06 so didn't bother me...

I have yet to see a Cinemark that was posted, all the AMC's are, but I haven't seen a Cinemark.

Local theater by me has a sign in the concessions line "Firearms Prohibited".

We've talked about theaters so much around here that I thought it was well known that Cinemark theaters do not post 30.06 signs. I know I've said it many times as well as those above.

We have not seen Minions yet, but my 13y wants to. We haven't had the time yet.

Alamo Drafthouses are not posted anywhere either.

I frequent the Cinemark locations in the Plano area - specifically the West Plano, East Plano, and Allen locations. None of them are posted with 30.06. Neither is the Angelika in Plano.
