Took a couple shooting for the first time last night

I have a couple that are friends of ours that have been on the fence about having guns. They had never had one, never shot one and my wife and I are the only ones they know (that they know of) that own a gun.
We went to brunch with them yesterday and the topic came up. Apparently one of their neighbors had been robbed in the last week. They wanted to know what all they had to do to be able to buy one. I explained the procedure and suggested that we all go shoot in the afternoon but first, I wanted them to come by my house and we would go over some safety rules.
They came by the house, we went over the rules several times and I opened up my safe and let them handle a few. This was done for 2 reasons, (1) to see what fit them the best but (2) to make sure they understood the rules, which they did.
After finding about 4 different models they said felt good, off we go to the range. After the normal range paperwork they had to fill out, we finally got 2 lanes together. I worked with him and my wife worked with the wife. Most of what they shot was 9MM but I had taken my truck gun (XD45 full size) and my EDC (Colt Defender .45) and the man decided he wanted to shoot them. Didn't do too good with the Colt due to the short barrel and not being used to it, but he shot lights out with the XD45.
Before we left, they stopped at the counter and bought an XD45 for him, an XD9-Mod 2 for the house and a Sig P938 for her. They also signed up for CHL classes.
All in all, a productive night for the 2A I think.
They also called my wife and wanted to know if we would like to go to dinner and the range tonight. Oh, if I must
