Does anyone know how I can get DuPont Nucrel 925? Apparently it isn't sold to the public so I may have to find a commercial user who will sell it.

How much do you need?

If you only need a little, you might try getting a hold of DuPont and asking for an evaluation sample.

I saw the same datasheet and am curious too. My take on purchase reading the sheet is they (Dupont) will sell it in some bulk form (pells?) to someone that can make sheets, tubes or whatever and they are the ones to buy it from.

Bingo! Yes and it's not top secret, but the self-healing target is just part of the overall target system.

Has anyone actually put a lot of rounds through any of the current self-healing targets like Newbold and others? The longevity they claim in their ads is absurd. We have a couple at the Club and while some may take 2,000 rds of .22LR, they aren't going to take even half that number of 9mm or 45ACP.

Are you looking for the raw pelletized product or molded sheets/ blocks?

I may have a source for raw product, but not for pre cast or molded pieces.

Either one would have been fine, depending upon price. The retail price for self-healing targets is cost-prohibitive for my application, especially since we've done some testing and learned that the longevity claims made are grossly inaccurate.

Thanks for the information folks, but I've decided to take a different route that will allow us to use IDPA or IPSC targets.

Many of these types of raw materials are very expensive when you purchase small quantities.

For this particular material DuPont would probably consider a 2000 lb order a small order.
