Yesterday, I brought my 6yo to Cabela's to look at Para cord bracelet's he is learning to make them, anyway this is not about us. Whenever we go we always stop by the used guns looking for deals. I saw a young male carrying a 12Ga up to his wife and infant pretending to cock it with sounds an all then point at baby and say bang :banghead: But wait it gets even worse now he see's infant laughing so he pokes baby in belly and says bang and keeps doing that, Oh and mom was laughing along with dad and baby, a real family moment. :banghead: . Flame me if you like, I did not say anything to him as it would not come out in a civilized manner and would create a scene in the store. I took my kid and headed to the check out, yes, I keep kicking myself for not saying anything but i had a 6yo to worry about incase this idiots ego got bruised if I had said anything. I told my coworker about it and he asked if maybe it was the "What would you do" show.

It is truly amazing just how STUPID some people behave. However, I have learned to mind my own business--pointing out their stupidity is rarely welcome.

Give it a couple of years. They will be on the local news about one or the other family members being shot and killed. Stupid is as stupid does...

Sad...

Edited to add - I would have done the same. I would not stick around. I would have told management and left.

While you no doubt did the right thing by not saying anything that is so over the top I don't know if I could have kept my mouth shut. I might then be posting on here about kicking myself for saying something.

Adults correcting other adults in public is a recipe for disaster.

You can't correct stupid, but if you care to, you can tilt at windmills...
