I no longer see the number of replies (except in Recent Topics) to thread topics. Do I have something to turn on or other on the site to see them? Flip a switch, or spin 3 times right and 2 times left, or...?

Come to think of it, I no longer see the individual Post Count either.

Am I dreadful at navigating.

I see them on the board index page for the recent topics and when I look at unread topics

If you look at the top right to the left of the number page info there is some info. " First unread post" and "x" posts. It appears the OP is included in that number so the repilies would be the number minus one.

Yes, I know I can look it up on the profile page, but I no longer see it anywhere else or am I blind as I usually am...?

I still see both. I normally use an iPad to access the site and my most used entry point is the Active Topics page.

I see those same screen layouts when accessing from a computer.

Both are missing when I am viewing from my iPhone but appear just fine from my computer.

I'm a horrible navigator, but I'm dogged...

Found it.

My screen was set way large for my oldish eyes...I've just discovered after a certain amount of screen/monitor enlargement the post count can't be seen...though the same screen size enlargement accommodated post count with the old format.
