Lots of videos showing up on facebook showing the plight of the refugees pouring into Europe.
In one, a reporter brings food and begins handing it out. I sort of noticed that everyone was male 15 to 25 years old. One young man the woman interviewed spoke a little English and said he was from Kabul. That's in Afghanistan, not Syria. (a long ways to walk)
In another article I read many years ago, about Libya and how their young men ended up as suicide bombers in Iraq, it talked about the plight of young men in Muslim countries. Apparently if they cannot find good work or come from modest means, they will never marry. Since sex before marriage is forbidden by death, these young men are lets say, frustrated. Fathers are charged with protecting their daughters and many become old maids, since few men have the means to take a bride.
Once all these young men settle in Germany, Sweden, Norway, France and Italy, no doubt they will get passports from their new home and get on a plane and visit Disneyland.

Give women and children refugee status take the military age males train them and send back if they're not willing to fight for their country they don't need to be in anyone else's.

The question is if they are willing to fight for their country, who will they be fighting against after you train them?
My contacts with Arabs leads me to think training might be a real hurdle. I remember reading a book about WWII in North Africa written by Major Popski, of Popski's Private Army. He said that "if you see a building in Northern Africa, you can be almost certain it was built by the Romans, because Arab men will not work." Maybe things have changed in the ~70 or so years since he made that observation. Western culture certainly has in the same interval.

In northern Africa, not all are Arabs or of decedents of Arabs. There are Tuwarek, Braber, and People from middle and south Africa.
In any case, Today, In wealthy society bubling on petrol dollars, If you see a tower or a huge building, most likely it is built by, Indians, Philippines, Indonesians or Pakistanis. Wealth would inherit you laziness. However, this is not the generally the rule.
Under Saddam, Iraq was very prosperous and modern country and had a great educational and medical systems and promising industries. All are gone and the only thanks is for President Bush.
As for historical view, at times when Arabs simply a Bedouin (Living near some water in the middle of the desert and raising and living of cattle), few men would work, but they were excellent fighters and great poets and very hospitable people. At the days when the Arabs had built large cities, they were mostly traders.

I've not been in Iraq, but I did spend some time in Cairo and in Istanbul in the past.
My impressions were not consistent with your claims. Cairo made Tijuana look like Beverly Hills. Istanbul was little better. Maybe Baghdad under Saddam was the oasis of the ME. Nothing I have seen or heard, knowing a fair number of Arabs and Persians quite well, and working with some of them for a couple of decades, leads me to think it is so, or ever was.
The reports I had from those running training programs for ME'ers were tales of exasperation and futility. Part of it seems to be the fatalistic belief that everything depends on the will of Allah, so there is no point to trying too hard or hoping for something. There are always exceptions and outliers in human activities to be sure.
The danger of those young men is not from organized unit action anyway. Lone wolves will drive us nuts just as well.

Lone wolves are already here. You are right being selective on who would be accepted as immigrant is crucial.
