I just purchased the biggest ugliest and heaviest gun ever for $199.00. Belive it or not the thing shoots pretty good. 100 rounds so far with no jam. Has anyone else have one of these bricks?

I have two High Point C9 jamomatic boat anchors. I wish I had my money back. Worthless.

Whats the matter with yours? I was told they have a lifetime warranty.

Jams every round or every other round. Failure to feed. I have seen many HiPoint mod vids on YT that supposedly correct many issues but if it's not good out of the box it's no good to me. I took a dremel to one of them to polish the feed ramps and was going to do some other mods to feed lips on mag so warranty voided on that one. The other, no mods just not worth the hassle to me to send back. Even if they were made to work, could I really rely on them?

It's not like higher quality gun that eventually fails due to wear or becomes super reliable with a minor adjustment, its a poor design with poor execution.

I honestly in good conscience couldn't see selling to some poor guy if I can't rely on it myself.

I'll work on it some more to see if I can't resolve the issues and keep it as a range loaner gun only. No need to put more rounds through my carry gun than necessary.

One of the first guns I bought was a high point 45. It worked great for me. It was as accurate as any hand gun I have owned, arguably more accurate than any other handgun I have owned, which includes 1911s, Browning Hi-Powers, S&W MPs among others.

The only issue I had was with the magazines. I found that on some magazines, I had to get the magazine lips bent right or it would jam.

The other issues is that it is such a big brick that it really wasn't carryable.

So I had a great experience with it. I sold it because I had other guns that were carryable so it just sat in my safe.

I don't have the .45 But the first semi-auto I ever owned after all my guns were stolen several years ago, was a High Point .40 cal. I've shot every kind of round just about you could think of with that ugly gun, and it just keeps on ticking. They are nothing for looks, but pretty darn accurate. I've had very little trouble with mine. The only major complaint I have is breaking it down for cleaning. It's too bulky for concealed carry, but fits nicely in a towel under my truck seat. For the price, no one should complain to have a good knock around back-up handy. Just my two cents worth.

It's usually the magazines that's causing the problems. The QC ain't so great there but the guns themselves works. I used to have the HiPoint 4095TS 40sw carbine. It shot well and I traded it in to fund my MP15 556 carbine.
