Are there any plans for a bill in 2017 that would address businesses on city/county/state property employing an alcohol vendor with a 51% license, making the whole property at that address effectively banned? Rewriting 51% to just be the bar/serve area, not the entire establishment?
I know the waco zoo has this, and so does the Corpus Aquarium. I see it coming to the other Zoos and similar establishments.

Museums, arts, music halls etc. that reside on government property get 51% signs because of a vendor selling alcohol. But the venue itself is not 51% even if they counted the alcohol receipts. They are also off limits even if alcohol is not being sold at one particular event.

This must be fixed and should be a priority. Maybe as part of an overall strategy of reducing the places of CC in Texas, but nonetheless a priority.

Here's a better idea. Let's go with Charles' plan to remove all off-limits areas for CHLs. That will make 51% a moot point.

I just re-read HB308 from the 2015 session and it clearly strikes the text for 51%. The best way to support this solution is to join CHLs United on the Texas Firearms Coalition.
