Name released of man arrested in shooting of boy

FORT WORTH -- A 45-year-old man arrested Friday on accusations that he fired an assault-type rifle, striking an 8-year-old neighbor boy in the arm, has been identified as Ronnie Joe Polk.
The boy, who has not been identified, was watching cartoons on a couch in his home in the 4900 block of Eastland Street when he was hit about 4 p.m.
Polk was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released from Mansfield jail Saturday after posting a $75,000 bond.
