I just went to the Texas AG website and found something I have not seen on this Forum yet:

Interesting that it says to either fill out the form or call. I wonder if they simply go down the form during a call, or ask you to fill out the form, or something else. I think that this would be a really good link to include on any complaint first made to the political subdivision (sort of a "hey, have you seen this nifty new AG web page yet?").

My first thought when I saw the banner was that this was the AG's warning shot to all municipalities that he will take the new law seriously and they better get their sign ducks in order...

I wouldn't say he is stealing anyones thunder, more like he is doing his job. Reporting to Charles Cotton gives us tools to use in the next legislative session to expand the legislation, reporting to the AG helps him do his job and we may be able to get data from him that will help in the next session as well. I am hearing about staff with metal detectors refusing to allow entry, which is something that may need to be addressed in the future AND we know that a provision for private causes of action is needed so it will help us if we can show that the AG can not prosecute all these violations.

Well, at least we don't have to worry about the AG's office having a lackluster attitude about using their new enforcement power. If they went to all the trouble of having a webpage and web form created, they must mean business.
