Deer Park Community Center 30.06 Reported

I guess we'll see if due diligence is in fact it's own reward. I just filed a formal complaint with the Texas AG's office concerning 3 30.06 signs posted at entrances to the Deer Park Community Center. Per the procedure outlined by Charles, I faxed the notice to the Director of Parks and Recreation on Wed 10/14 - no response. Went by on Mon 10/19 and the signs were still up. Filled out the affidavit and took the follow-up pictures this evening. Rather than faxing the notice to the AG's office, I used the online portal
https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/apps/3006/.
I also filled out the report form on
https://www.texasfirearmscoalition.com/ ... -06-upload.
So far, all I've received in response is the auto-email from the AG's office. I'll update further once I hear anything else or see that the signs have been removed.

It seems that the trend is for these governments to simply not respond. I wonder if they are clueless or that they hope that you'll just go away.

I thought about giving a follow-up call or email. But I get so busy during the day that it got away from me.

Good job and thank your for your diligence.
I filed a complaint with the AG against the Pasadena gun show on October 4. I received an acknowledgement by E-mail from the AG office on October 5. I have not received anything from them since. I planned to give them 30 days before I follow up. Don't be surprised that you have not seen any action yet. And...don't give up.

Thanks Cajun. I suspect most governmental agencies will not respond, but most will remove the signs.
Chas.

I'm willing to fight the good fight. Funny thing is that I wouldn't have even seen the signs if I weren't required to obtain a building permit to repair my own fence.

On Friday, I received an acknowledgement email from Capt Lucas, law enforcement liaison for the AG's office.

A while back, I received a copy of the letter that Zindia Thomas, Asst AG, sent to the city notifying them of my complaint. On Sunday, I happened to drive by the Community Center and now there are new signs - 30.06 AND 30.07. They've also posted an entrance that hadn't been posted before. So it would seem that not only has the city of Deer Park ignored my complaint, they've doubled down.
I just sent an email to Capt Lucas and tried to copy Ms Thomas requesting an update on my original complaint. I also asked what the procedure was for amending a submitted complaint. I received an undeliverable notice stating that Ms Thomas' email address is restricted.
