FW Gun Show - Will Rogers

Gun show this weekend, Oct. 24-25. Is anyone going?
I wonder if, due to recent complaints, if they'll have a 30.06 up or not. BTW, I thought I remembered recent discussions where the FWPD, that are often at the entrances checking guns, said they would no longer enforce any 30.06 signs at this location during these events.

I thought of going, but I'm going to be spending the day with my son, building my new AR.

C-dub, I have the questions. Last time I went, about a year ago, it was 30-06 posted. There was a FTW officer at the door

checking guns that people were bringing in to sell.I'll probably go tomorrow and not sure as to what to expect. The website still says no concealed or loaded guns and that it is 30-06 posted.

I probably won't be able to ge there until about noon. I'll be checking the forum to see if the show is posted or not. Hopefully, anyone going will post their findings on this issue in this thread.

Is anyone there yet? Any 30.06 signs?

Went yesterday. Temporary 30.36 posted at entrance. The officer checking at the front door was busy when we went in and left so I didn't have chance to ask about it. Show was nice and less crowded than I expected.

A friend of mine was there yesterday, and he told me on Facebook that 30.06 was being enforced. I tagged Charles L. Cotton in my reply.

Something came up and I ended up not being able to make the time to go.
Any idea what he meant by "being enforced"? Were they checking people before they entered or did he see someone get arrested?

I don't have specifics. I asked if it was being enforced. He said yes. Come to think of it, how would they know unless you had to go past a metal detector or something?

No metal detector. Officer at door was checking guns people were openly carrying in to sell/trade. I didn't see any other security at the door that would be looking for concealed weapons, just 2 workers collecting $$ and stamping hands. Same as I remember from last year.
