I now know what's for lunch. So it is written, so it is done.

I like Kelleys too, but wow, they really take to the "everything is bigger in Texas" slogan . :coolgleamA:

I didn't know. Will have to make a trip to Mel's Country Café. They make the best CFS that I have found so far.

Isn't everyday chicken-fried steak day? Am I misinformed?

Be careful. I was hospitalized awhile back, in July, ended up with two additional stents.

I believe the diagnosis was attempted suicide, by chicken fried steak.

I've eaten in two separate Kelley's.

I'm not a picky eater.

Proof: I liked the cafeteria food in high school, college and the Army.

I find Kelley's food buh-land - Alright here's the proper spelling, BLAND. Also served lukewarm. Plus, some of the veggies were out of a can. (or if not, they were so over cooked as to convince me they were...)

Large portions do not make up for these shortcomings.

If I'm going to eat bland, cannned, lukewarm food, I can do that at home.

I don't often partake anymore, but when I must, I drive to Needville where the Jay cafe serves a fine plate and makes the best pies I have found anywhere. Good food is worth a drive! Survival food I can get at a fast food place.
