Europe is toast. Really too bad, I like to visit there. They have nice old buildings.

I'm a little worried that Canada with the new PM is about to head down the same path. That may not bode well for us.

Do they actually believe guns can be used for self defense?

Western civilization is beginning to reap the whirlwind of emotion-based, feel-good public policies as espoused by the Progressive Left. I only hope that US voters see this and act before the US goes completely down the drain. We are already getting dizzy from circling...

A journalist named Wittinger said "something is very wrong here" if Austrians are buying guns to protect themselves against migrants.
"Shotguns will not, after all, solve any immediate problems, quite the contrary," he said.
I don't know what fantasy world this journalist lives in, but I'm pretty sure a shotgun has the potential to solve an immediate problem if one is using it as a self-defense tool....

Hmmm....well, the contrary of solving an immediate problem is solving a long-term problem. So maybe it's a Freudian slip and what he is saying unconsciously is that shot guns will solve the problem for a long time. After all, he is from the land of Freud.
It can't be that he thinks violence doesn't solve problems because we very clearly helped solve some very big German problems with violence.
