Yet another flaw, there is a table for BAC levels and it indeed is nicely detailed but other substances are not even mentioned.
Legal drugs have a label on the box indicating it may cause drowsiness and illegal drugs are either legalized with no plan besides the profit aspect in mind or simply with an ignorant statement like "we lost the war against drugs."

But it's labeling is still very flawed, and extremely vague at best. Is a beer 3.5, or 6.2 alcohol by volume? Every beer is different, and so is a persons metabolism.

How about only drinking at home. No worries about hurting someone else or getting a DUI.

How about banning alcohol altogether. Alcohol and gunpowder don't mix period!

This chart, or variants of it, has been out for a long time. I find it interesting that, by the chart, I can have 4 glasses of wine (real close to a full bottle) and not be intoxicated, but I am most definitely impaired. I would never drive after 4 glasses.

Does it seem interesting that these people come and their very first post seems well above a person that just came across this forum?

Do you think they are already members, make fake login's to post these things then never log in again?

I remember my very early posts, and many others first posts, seem to be 'on target' about ... getting a CHL, holsters, belts, what to do/not to do, etc.
All about "learning".. seems that there are some first posts that just dont seem 'legitimate' of a newbie!

This is a way too off-topic discussion, I totally agree. Glad that some of your welcomed me here. Anyway, thank you for your opinions, really appreciate it. Sorry, if I bothered some of you folks.

This has become my policy. Much safer, not to mention easier on the wallet.

I myself have come along way in my way of thinking and understanding of the law and how I see things and how to do things, thanks to this forum.

We all come from different backgrounds and enter the CHL life at different times with different experiences.

I think we should always be on the look out for "trolls" and such. I just hate to see any legitimate newcomers discouraged from posting and participating. What's old hat for you maybe totally new to someone else. I definitely had my learning moments, and what was new to me was already discussed a bazillion times before.

I have a relative that I've been coaching since he made the decision to get his CHL and start CC. He is younger than me by a couple of years but his questions are a bit advanced than those of the typical newbie. He's done a lot of his own research on CC/CHL so he is more aware of some of the finer points. A newcomer to this forum may already be active on other forums or finally feels comfortable enough to actively participate. Doesn't mean they are trolls. I don't see anything wrong with the OP's post.

Alcohol and driving don't mix, I agree, alcohol I would think kills more people than guns period.

I seem to recall that it was tried a while back. (NOT that I was around at the time!) Didn't work out too well. I suspect that banning guns would have a similar outcome.

Meant to jump in on this earlier, but failed to.

First, welcome to the forum.

Second, while this is a good yardstick on how long alcohol stays in a person's system, it is by no means a standard that can be used to determine if someone's BAC is at a legal level of intoxication. It would never be allowed as evidence in a trial as solid, only a reference. The blood test or breathalyzer are the standards by which a BAC level is determined to be valid.
