I just logged into dps and searched my criminal record. The only thing that pops up is a driving with license invalid with previous conviction class b misdemeanor. The arrest was in 2009, however the court date for it wasn't until nov. 21 2011. I have been told that a class b is a five year ban. Is that ban from the date of arrest or the court date? Any information is greatly appreciated.

To my best knowledge the date of the conviction is relevant.

It is from the date of conviction, so if you were found guilty on Nov. 21, 2011, then it will be Nov. 21, 2016 before you are eligible. You can take the class before then, but can't apply prior to that date.
