I am looking for plumbers to chime in here about the wages that are usual for the Houston area, not your particular salary and for Apprentice plumbers as well. the national average doesn't help me, I have to hire one and need a wage average and range for this so that I know if someone is asking too much. thanks in advance

pay scale.com is 4 years old in wages. my truck my tools, insurance at 500 a month you pay for a family 150 for a single 2 weeks vacation after 12 months 401 that the company contributes 2 percent of your wage at no cost to you even if you don't contribute bonus plan up 10 percent of your wages based of project profit annually. truck stays in the company yard you commute. sick days at half a day a month. open shop no union no new construction very light commercial type also wages aren't that price elastic no matter what benefits are for a given geographic location, only open or union makes a large difference

Payscale.com is not four years out of date. What data says otherwise?
Good luck in finding a new employee, JP171.
