I am having a hard time trying to figure out the status of some UTMB facilites (not UTMB Galveston hospital). There's about 4 UTMB clinics and care centers nearby on my side of League City. Strangely, one of them has posted 30.06.

I had brought my wife to one of the ones that is not posted for outpatient surgery, and I left my XD at home. But it did get me thinking, if it was OK to carry there, since there was no sign at the door? We were at the specialty care clinic just off of I-45 near FM 96.

Seems confusing with UTMB (college, hospital, etc) as far as which laws apply, and if we can carry there.

As of right now, it would be off limits since it's is a premises under control of an institution of higher education. No need to post since it is statutorily off limits. When August 1, 2016 rolls around, it will need to be posted properly to exclude concealed carry. Open carry will continue to be off limits with no posting as a premises under control of institution of higher education.

I know most colleges are off limits until next year, but some of these places don't seem to be heavily involved in teaching, if at all. One of the places that we take the kids too is a family clinic, just happens to have UTMB in the title. Seems to be a grey area.
