As for reloading, you save your money to buy reloading tools and components in order to save money on ammo expenses. However, all the time it is no-win situation, your pocket is lighter no matter what you do.
As for collecting, you think you can make an investment and trade or sell some of your collection to buy new collectibles. However, you keep buying and no one is interested in your collection, so you keep collecting and you run out space to store your collection. You end up selling your house and building a new house with gun-room and reloading room in addition to that 5-car garage. Oh, Wifey needs a new 25 yard pool with a "terrace" for the morning coffee.
And, I need my 15-yard in-door 2-lanes range, PLUS my 100-yrs underground range tube with electronic scoring and live HD streaming.
Guns are bad for you.
Only nice guns are worth owning, and only new nice guns are worth buying.

The problem with guns is that you always want more guns. I have over thirty guns..is that enough?...nooooooo.
Wanting guns is not bad in and of itself--the problem is something known in the personal finance world as "the budget"---especially when you are retired and living on a fixed income.

Mr. Noir is one of my favorite gun rights advocates. I think he is the best spoken representative of our rights.
