Taurus PT140 vs. Taurus P89

Hello folks:
Been carrying for many years and my EDC is a Tuarus PT140 (.40 cal). I like the size of the weapon but the small capacity (10 rd x 2 + 1 in chamber =21 rds) has been a concern of mine, especially with the "world situation".
My other weapon is a Ruger P89 9mm. She is old and heavy the but extra 5 rds per magazine seems very attractive. Add an additional mag and I now have 45 rds at my disposal. It's a great winter carry but a little large for summer carry (especially here in TX). With a good belt and holster, it sure feels solid on my hip.
What's your opinion....carry the .40 in summer and the 9mm in winter or stick with the PT140? I shoot both very well but not sure I want to switch out what I carry.
Thanks for your opinion.
Regards from Hill Country....

FWIW - Taurus (out of production) PT24/7 15 rd. magazines (5-24740-15) will work in a PT140PRO or a newer Millennium G2 and you can get a spacer for the mag to cover the bare mag extra length. Sig P226 MecGar Sig mags will also work, but the spacer is a tad too wide. I use these on range, but not when I carried the PT140MP.

EDIT: If your PT140 isn't a PRO model, then scratch all above - it would have PRO prominent on the slide.

Thanks for the reply.
My weapon is the PT140 Millenium G2.
Will look for the mags that you specified.
Again, THANK YOU

I see you basically have two options:

Carry the Taurus, and adjust to carrying 2,3+ mags

Or carry the Ruger and adjust to the added size

Ill agree, situations of present have me wondering if I carry enough ammo. I'm still at 5+1 :/
